Nitrile glove types and uses

There are many types of nitrile gloves available on the market and, depending on the manufacturing process involved, are recommendable for one industry or another.

The purpose of nitrile gloves is to protect hands against products that are handled, for instance in the food processing and health sectors.

The different types can include:

UNSUPPORTED NITRILE

- High sensitivity examination gloves (disposable). For use in food processing and handling, health services, etc.

- Heavy gauge for the chemical and manufacturing industries.Mainly designed for the chemical processing industry where there are thousands of basic products and solvents are used.

SUPPORTED NITRILE

- Sewn fabric liner, nitrile dipped.Designed for industry, construction, agriculture, etc.

- Sewn knitted liner, nitrile dipped.Designed for industry, construction, agriculture, etc.

- Seamless knitted liner, nitrile dipped. These latest generation gloves combine different required levels of design, comfort, ergonomics, manoeuvrability, ductility with the highest quality protection. The challenge posed by the market is to produce what we are sure will soon be achieved:“the smart glove”.

Since their appearance, nitrile gloves have had an overwhelming response, replacing leather gloves and finding uses in activities where until recently gloves were not even worn. However, there are still a few industries where they cannot be used, such as for welding and foundry work, etc.
